How do the TVs connect to Satellite, DVD, antenna

by Jon Glazer

I see questions on other sites about TV connections, usually in newer Bounders. This what I have come up with. Mine is 2017 with 4 TVS and uses splitters for the connections.
The receiver only supports our overhead (driver/passenger) TV and the TV over our fireplace. The bedroom and outside TVs are supported by the Digital Roof Antenna. The bedroom TV has a HDMI cable loose in the above compartment that is for DVD and other devices to our knowledge.

I am not sure at this point in time exactly what I have or don’t have when it comes to the TV set up in my 2002 31W Bounder. I bought it used & the previous owner had DISH TV installed. NO information about that set up was given to me. I have a large dome on top as well as (what I think) is a satellite antenna as well as a fold up antenna from the factory. Trying to find out which cable goes to what & why is really getting to me right now. Not sure what is what as I am NOT into electronic gadgets in this modern world of communications. Really not interested in having DISH as I am able to connect my laptop using a HDMI cable to the TV & sign in to my Comcast acct as long as I have WIFI connection & watch everything that I can watch at home. Don’t ask me how that works but my young son figured it all out & it works. Would like to also view local channels too if that is possible. Not really into watching the tube when I am at the lake of parked in the mountains viewing nature but it is nice to sit back at night after a long day & enjoy watching & relaxing over a good hot cup of coffee. IF anyone has any info about the dome & what it is used for it would be appreciated.

It sounds like the exact setup I have done in my rig. I stream everything I have at home via my cell phone and HDMI to the TV. Works great! I’d leave the dishes alone. They don’t bother anything. If you try to remove them you may end up with leaks. Does that make sense?

Look at this for the streaming info: https://mybounder.com/2020/10/14/internet-service-and-streaming-video-using-samsung-dex-2/

We were going to do as you are doing, but we started Dish at home and it’s only $7 more a month for a whole extra receiver/dvr though we had to purchase that piece. Still working on the rats nest of coax wires in the rig. It’s primarily the switch boxes we have. 1999 34V
