    Cheap RV Winter Storage

by Jon Glazer March 27, 2022
    written by Jon Glazer

While looking for a place to bed-down my rig for the winter months (I live in Ohio so it gets cold out there), I found that many storage facilities charge $130 or more for an outside slot.   This can get somewhat costly when you’re storing it for 6 months of each year and it still exposes the vehicle to the elements and potential thieving.

I heard a rumor that many fairgrounds rent their inside arena spaces for winter vehicle storage.  After making a few calls, I found it was true and jumped on it immediately.  The cost for storage from November 15th to April 9th was $300.  The rig will be under cover (not heated) and locked in.  I suggest that you check out your local fairgrounds to see if they too offer this service.   It’s a great way to save some cash and help protect your mobile home.
